The BBQ. Tempting scraps from the barbecue can upset your pet's stomach, causing vomiting and diarrhoea. Throw away any leftover food into a lidded dustbin.
The Sun. Heatstroke can be fatal to pets. Ensure they have constant access to shade and clean water. Use a pet sun block on pets with pale or thin fur and any hairless areas, especially ear tips and noses.

Vaccinate. These protect against a variety of life-threatening diseases such as Myxomatosis which is almost always fatal in unvaccinated rabbits.
Protect from flystrike. Check under rabbit's tail twice a day in warm weather for fly eggs and maggots. If your rabbit isn't grooming properly or is regularly getting a dirty bottom, visit your vet as this can be a sign of health problems. Your vet will also be able to recommend preventative treatments.
Dental health. Ensure your rabbits eat at least their own bodyweight in high quality feeding hay or grass every day to wear down the teeth and maintain healthy gut function. Feed a pellet style diet and avoid 'muesli' type foods which can cause dental and gut problems.

Bath time. Ensure they have a dust bath daily for around 10 minutes to keep their coat in good condition. Be aware that excessive dust bathing can cause eye disease or they may start to view the bath as a toilet.
Suitable toys. Cardboard rolls and boxes as well as shop bought shelters and wooden seesaws can prevent boredom. Try using different toys in different weeks to keep things interesting.
